Vacation

Ahh. Nothing like a little getaway to reset. This has been a fun weekend at the beach.

A perfect day

I haven’t had much time for this lately, and I’ll admit that I started the page for June 3rd three days ago. But it was nice to finish it. I need to remember how fun and relaxing these are.

Yesterday

I finished a sketchbook!! I haven’t done that in a long time. This particular one has gone through many stages and styles. It’s a Traveler’s Notebook insert – the one with extra thin paper. I’ve been really impressed with how it was with ink. It has worked well with my Day In Comics drawings.  I…

I got a little lost

I sort of skipped doing this for a week! But I think I’m back. Maybe. Anyway, here is May 9th and 10th.

Meditation and a Pinhole Adventure

I spent all day on Sunday at a silent meditation retreat. We had an hour break that we could spend (silently) doing whatever we wanted to so I sketched. I figured it was meditative so it fit right in with the plan of the day! On Monday, my husband and I went on a little…

Wine 🍷 and whiskey 🥃

I’m finally finding time to post here after being busy. Here are a couple days from last week, Friday and Saturday.

May the fourth (be with you)

Here are May 3rd and 4th. A couple of beautiful days spent indoors working. I finally unpacked my bags from vacation and looked at my new old camera. I also tried drawing a tiny self portrait.

Back to the daily grind

Here are yesterday’s and today’s moments. They were busy days. Yesterday was spent on planes, trains, and automobiles. Today was spent on my feet all day doing RFID tagging at the library. And then laundry when I got home. I’m exhausted. 😴

California

Here are a couple days of “day in the life” sketches. The page on the left was a day spent in Santa Cruz, and the one on the right was a day spent in SF for pinhole day. I even got a belated birthday cake at the end of the day! 😄 I bough some…

#drawaTog

Yesterday’s day-in-the-life comic featured a #drawaTog challenge. That’s me in pigtails waving and my Ondu pinhole camera in the two middle panels. You can see what others have drawn at the #drawatog hashtag on Twitter. You can also follow @drawaTogparty for info on the challenge. Incidentally, for this the pen that I used was a Uniball Vision…

Sunday funday

I’m starting to kind of find my groove with this exercise. My little comic version of myself is still a little awkward but whatever.

4.20

So I tried drawing each panel using my Pentel Pocket Brush Pen and it was a bit unruly for the small squares. I think today I will go back to using a regular pen. When I went to color in the panels I could’t even remember what some of the drawings were of! The thing…
