The oldest thing I own

Last week I didn’t get to draw much due to general busy life. Here is a page from my sketchbook from last weekend. We were instructed in Sketchbook Skool to find something that means something and draw it and write about it. Here is my grandma’s button tin and here is what I wrote:

This is the oldest thing I own. It is my button tin. My mom gave it to me. Granny Mary gave it to my mom, and Great Grandma gave it to Granny Mary. It still has buttons in it from Granny Mary’s time. Before it held buttons it was my great, great grandfather, Ben Cheney’s tobacco tin! So this tin is at least 100 years old. That kind of blows my mind.
